Psychological Assessment, Testing and Evaluation services at The Center are provided by a licensed psychologist trained and qualified in assessing and diagnosing a wide range of clinical conditions and concerns. 

 

A psychological assessment can include various components such as norm-referenced psychological tests, screening measures, school, legal, work or medical records, interview information and clinical observations.

 

There are many different types of evaluations and each evaluation has a "referral question." This is the "question" that the testing and evaluation provided is supposed to answer. It will take between 2-3 sessions typically to provide the psychological testing and evaluation. The first session will focus on getting background information and a comprehensive history. Next, you will schedule 1-2 follow-up appointments to complete the psychological testing. The psychologist will take all of the testing information, background and history and incorporate this into a comprehensive psychological report.  This usually takes about two weeks after the last testing session you attend. The final step of the assessment process is the feedback session. During this appointment, the psychologist will review the results and recommendations of the evaluation. It is a great opportunity to get your questions answered to get the most out of the evaluation process.  

 

The Center offers a wide range of evaluation services that might help you or your loved ones. Some evaluations may require a referral from a medical doctor, counselor or other licensed professional.
